This is a 4 day/ 3-night adventure for local youth ages 12-17 years old. We will be camping at the Wahweap Campground, paddling kayaks and paddle boards on Lake Powell.

About the event

Paddling camp for teens ages 12-17 from Northern Arizona and Southern Utah.  We will spend 4 days and 3 nights learning to safely using kayaks and paddle boards at the Lake Powell. We will be camping at the Wahweap Campground near Page, AZ.  The campground and lake are surrounded by beautiful red rocks and desert landscape with some hiking and walking trails nearby. We will be using kayaks and paddleboard, learning paddling safety and practicing basic skills. 

Some of the skills and experiences the youth will be exposed to:

  • Water recreation safety
  • Paddling safety and basic paddling skills
  • Fire starting and fire safety
  • Leave No Trace outdoor adventure principles
  • Basic camping skills
  • Introduction to outdoor cooking

The cost of this adventure is only $200 per youth and includes all the food and the use of our tents. You just need to bring a sleeping bag (and sleeping pad if you want), your clothes and your personal items. We will send you more details and a suggested packing list after you register.

Transportation from Page to Wahweap at Lake Powell can be arranged if needed.
