The New Wave is also known as the Beehive Loop Trail. It is located near Page, AZ, off of Hwy 89, west of the Glen Canyon Dam. Turn off Hwy 89 onto the gravel road, follow it to the right, passing the Beehive Campground on the right.
Park in the sandy area on the left and look for the trail heading up the slick rock. It is a 1.2 mile loop trail bordered by hand-placed sandstone rocks. The trail is steep at first but leads to more gently sloping sandstone area with fabulous views of the area.
Try taking the spur trail that leads to another nearby
mesa to the east.
